Ensenada, Mexico | Days 3 & 4

On  the third day, we slept in and had breakfast at the house.  It was another beautiful day in Ensenada.

Late morning, we headed to La Bufadora to see the blowhole.

La Bufadora...

Here's a video of it...

We ate lunch at a Mexican Restaurant that has this rather unsafe looking slide.  We sat at the foot of it so we watched many intoxicated adults plummit down with no regard.  The kids loved it though.

The girls talked us into buying a lot of souvenirs.  Clara decided she wanted to play her new drum with the Mariachi singer...

Lia took one last dip in the ocean with the girls before they had to leave.

Using the sunscreen like warrior paint...

They had so much fun on the boogie board and so did I.

My mom showing the girls some seaweed that had washed up on the beach...

The sunsets were amazing...

We headed out the next morning.  We waited in the border line for four hours in Tecate and never made it across before they closed.  In fact, they closed the gate when we were just ten cars from it.  So we drove an hour to Mexicale and waited in their border line for about a half hour and made it across at around 1:30 am.  We drove all night and got home at 6:00 am.

Four hours of staring at this border wall and food vendors who walked on foot between the cars in line.

Crossing the border in Mexicale...
