The Leibfried Girls

I met my friend Tabby just north of Toronto to take pictures of her girls while they played on the Wapsi River. These girls are adorable and it was so fun capturing pictures of them.

This picture almost doesn't look real, but I thought it was kind of cool...

The baby's face cracks me up in this shot...

This little one is so stinken CUTE! You just wanna squeeze her she's so adorable. The lighting wasn't the best for most of the water pictures, but there were still some cute shots of the girls by the water so I wanted to share those as well. When we eventually moved up towards the trees and grass, I had much better lighting.

I just love her face in this picture...

Tayla has the most stunning eyes. At first, this little one did NOT want her picture taken, but she eventually warmed up.

I met my friend Tabby on the Wapsi River, just outside of Toronto Iowa, to capture some pictures of her beautiful girls. Her oldest, Adessa, is so pretty. These are some of my favorite photos that I took of Dessa...

Danielle's Kids

This little one is Larissa, she was the flower girl in our wedding. Larissa is the youngest of my cousin Danielle's kiddos.

I thought that her peace signs were a cute touch to her photos...

Some of the color was taken out of this image for a creative flare...

Here she is as our flower girl (Feb 2008)...

Alaina is my cousin's middle child, her first girl. Isn't she beautiful?

I wanted to do something different with the coloring on this one...

Posing like a model...

My cousin's son, Khalil, was such a good sport about letting me take his picture. Khalil is now 14 years old... boy does time fly. Here are just a handful of the many images that I captured during our photo session...

This one is just a creative twist to the old black and white's with color...

Thank you Khalil for being such a good model for me!

Apple Butterscotch Dump Cake

I had been craving Dump Cake after having some out of a dutch oven while camping in Utah recently. The two kinds that I've had were peach with yellow cake and cherry with chocolate cake. After browsing through a few recipes, I discovered that the original Dump Cake is a cherry and crushed pineapple filling with a yellow cake. I found many variations of that as well as some that didn't follow any of those ingredients. So I decided that I would make my own. What came to mind... Apples and butterscotch... yummm. It is so unhealthy, but so very delicious. So this is what I did.

Find some apple pie filling, if you want to make it simple, otherwise create your own. Dump the filling inside of a cake pan.

This is the kind that I used (two cans)...

Sprinkle some butterscotch chips on top of the apples.

I used a Super Moist french vanilla cake mix. Dump the cake mix over the apples and butterscotch chips.

Now for the ultimate unhealthy part. Cut a stick of butter into several squares and place them evenly on top of the cake mix.

Put the cake in the oven at 350 degrees for one hour.

Serve warm with some vanilla ice cream. YUMMM!

Aiyana - 36 Months

My first born is 3!!!

It's hard for me to believe that I have a three year old now.

I have been really enjoying taking pictures of the girls in natural lighting... with no flash. I LOVE the way it makes their eyes look bright and glossy.

I couldn't decide which edited/cropped version of that picture I liked best so I included all of them. The first photo is the original.
